Rear View mirror

Updating to present:

A while back I as driving home from Concord as I passed a cop car that was in a driveway. I was actually going a bit SLOWER than the limit, but i still felt a little chill when the cop pulled out behind me.

I started watching my rearview while slowly pulling over, even though his lights weren't on. Suddenly, he hit the brakes, swung around, and took off like a shot in the opposite direction.

I was still paying more attention to what he was doing than what I was doing. I was jerked back to reality when my right front tire went into a washout that hadn't been repaired since the last heavy rains. Since I was only going about 20, i easily got back on the road.

The only damage to my car was a nail sized puncture right through the sidewall of the tire. I limped closer to home and got within 3 miles before I pulled off on a side road to call Ron.

Long story short, a helpful Deerfield resident stopped by to help us out. Due to a stripped bolt, I drove to his house(1 mile away), where he put in a good half hour-45 min. getting it off.

I've forgotten his name, although Ron knew who he was. Major Thanks!

PS It was actually good that I had a flat as three of my tires needed changing. One was near the breaking point, which i hadn't noticed. $375 for four Toyo 60,000 mile tires.
